  • Billing and subscription status from Apple in-app purchases or Stripe website billing, such as customer/subscription identifiers, plan status, renewal or cancellation state, and related billing events. We do not store full payment card numbers.

We use service providers to run the app, process payments, deliver messages, and keep the service reliable. These providers may process data for us only for the purposes described here and are expected to protect it consistently with this policy.

  • Supabase for authentication, database, edge functions, and file storage.

4. Selling and advertising

We do not sell your personal information, your children's information, or your homeschool records. We also do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

5. Your choices and account deletion

You can review the Privacy Policy and Terms from the Account tab. You can also manage reminders from Account settings and can turn off device notification permission in iOS or Android settings at any time.

Signed-in users can delete their account in the app from Account > Danger Zone > Delete Account. Account deletion removes the app account and family records we are not legally required to keep. Before deleting, the app offers a records export option. You can also review account deletion options on the Data Deletion page.

You may also request access to, correction of, export of, or deletion of your data by emailing amanda@homeschoollegalprep.com. We may verify your identity before completing a request.

6. Data retention

We keep data only as long as needed to provide the app, support your account, protect the service, and meet legal obligations.

  • Account and authentication data are retained while your account is active.
  • Homeschool records, starting totals, schedules, assignments, and uploaded portfolio files are retained while your account is active.
  • Notification preferences and push registration data are retained while reminders are enabled or while needed to keep reminder settings in sync.
  • Support messages are retained as long as reasonably needed to respond, improve support, and keep a useful history of the issue.
  • Billing, subscription, and deletion audit records may be retained as needed for billing, tax, accounting, fraud prevention, and legal compliance.
  • Diagnostics and error logs are retained for a limited period needed to troubleshoot, secure, and improve reliability.

7. Children's information

Homeschool Legal Prep is designed for parents and guardians. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children for independent use of the service, and we do not market to children under 13. Student information is entered by parents or guardians for family homeschool recordkeeping.

8. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption and secure hosting, to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100 percent secure, but we take data protection seriously and continuously improve our safeguards.

9. California privacy rights

If CCPA or CPRA applies to our processing of your personal information, California residents may have rights to access, correct, delete, or opt out where applicable. Requests can be sent to amanda@homeschoollegalprep.com.
